When Lo, Lauren, a travel writer, has been given the opportunity to take a specialty cruise in place of her boss, she jumps at the chance to prove herself in the hope of someday taking on more exotic locales to report on. But as she prepares to leave her home is invaded, setting off a chain of events that threaten her very life.

Luxury. The Aurora is a small cruise ship about to set out on its maiden voyage. And with only ten luxurious cabin-suites, the guest list has only the top travel correspondents and the ship’s owners aboard alongside the staff and crew.

When Lo sets out, still shaken by the home invasion, she is determined to boost her career and schmooze with the other guests. As she readies herself for her first night aboard, she meets the strange young woman in Cabin 10 who doesn’t seem to fit in with the guest list.

Stranger yet, the woman doesn’t show up for the lavish reception and dinner that same evening. Putting the events of the last few days behind her, Lo has just a little too much to drink and during the night, awakes to what she thinks is a woman’s scream and the sound of something or someone being thrown overboard.

Determined to find out what happened to the woman in cabin 10, Lo starts asking questions and soon finds herself in very deep waters.

With a cast of characters straight out of an Agatha Christie novel, Ruth Ware crafts a mysterious thriller that will keep you on the edge. A fantastic read!
