Review: Illuminae by Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff

Standard

Wow! Is there any way this book could have been any better?! Nope.

From the very first page, Illuminae had my attention. Written and told in the form of confiscated official documents and reports, this story of corruption, war, and survival was in one word, EPIC

Set in the faraway future, in the year 2575, Kady Grant and her ex live on a settlement in a far reaching galaxy. The day Kady decides to finally call it quits with Ezra is the day their planet is attacked and destroyed. Once they make their desperate attempt to flee, they find themselves in opposite spacecrafts and Kady soon comes to realize that Ezra may not have been such a bad guy after all.
In the midst of all this, a massive conspiracy and a widespread contagion, threaten their survival. Kady and Ezra and thousands of others attempt to survive the attack by fleeing back to the galaxy where law & order are still intact. But something is keeping them from making a clean getaway. AIDAN
You will have to read Illuminae to find out just who AIDAN is. No spoilers here. Enjoy! And then be heartbroken because Book #2 isn’t right there to dive into!

5+ Galactic Stars!
